DJ Shadow Paramount Theatre - Seattle Concert reviews
A longgggg night!
"DJ Shadow was excellent and CAVO was great. I guess its just harder to get into a band you don't know too well. This made the night feel like it was going on forever with pauses in between each act. There were 2 opening bands which I didn't know about..I only knew of one. Lifehouse was ok and excellent venue. Unfortunately, I think either the crowd was exhausted by the time they made it on stage or just not into it. He needs to try and connect with the audience more. Simple stage and back drop. No fancy lighting other than a couple of laser lights. Given time, I really think DJ Shadow's concerts can only get better as they add music to their catalog. I really think DJ Shadow brought me back to a time when bands didn't put on too much of an act and just came to rock it. It seemed most people hadn't heard of most of his stuff yet. He tried to get people to sing along like some of the old time artists like Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen can do, but it seemed like to one was singing along! I'd go again the next time he came around..."
